Our Leadership Team

Jason Cline

Co-Founder & CTO

Before founding Itus Digital, Jason was Vice President of Applications at GE Digital. He led the global engineering organization for GE Digital’s Applications portfolio, including Historian, HMI/SCADA, MES, APM, and OPM.  His responsibilities encompassed the technical aspects of the product lines, delivering timely product releases, long-term technical strategy, and leading a team of 400+ engineers.  Jason established technical and delivery best practices across the combined engineering organization. The company awarded him GE’s Edison Award for his innovations in the APM market.

 

Previously, Jason spent 20 years growing the Meridium engineering organization.  He was responsible for the product’s overall architecture, bringing new technologies to market, and establishing a productive, mission-focused engineering culture.  Further, he is active in the technology community and has authored numerous publications, magazine articles, and books on software development.

 

Jason received a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of Virginia School of Engineering.

Joe Nichols

Co-Founder & President

Before forming Itus Digital, Joe was the COO & VP of Product Strategy at GE Digital. His responsibilities included overseeing strategic growth planning and managing the software portfolio strategy. Further, he led key functions such as Product Marketing, Business Unit Digital Solution Management, and Business Operations.  Previously Joe held executive positions at Meridium. During his 20+ year tenure, he drove the creation and go-to-market strategies for Asset Performance Management solutions adopted by world-class industrial organizations.

 

Joe received his Bachelor’s Degree in Management of Information Systems from Radford University.

Joe Nichols, strategy

Nate Underwood

Head of Operations

Over 18 years Nate led Technical Consulting and Global Operations for Meridium’s Professional Services organization. With GE Digital he served as Pricing Principle for the APM portfolio. Nate has designed and implemented global APM projects utilizing his skills in data management and integration, requirements and scope development, program and project management, and solution design.

 

Nate received his Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems from James Madison University and is a Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP).

John Renick

Head of Product

Before joining Itus Digital, John was the Vice President of Product Management, leading solution development for Symphony AzimaAI.​ Previously, he oversaw digital twin development for GE Digital. John has extensive experience working with customers in numerous industries such as power generation, mining, oil and gas, manufacturing, packaged goods, aviation, chemicals, healthcare, and pulp and paper.  Earlier, he had a 20-year tenure at Meridium. He worked with customers and partners during this time, developing and implementing asset performance management, condition monitoring, and digital twins solutions.

 

John received his Bachelor’s degree in Marketing from Radford University and is a Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP).

Paul Tulou

Engineering Leader

Prior to joining Itus Digital, Paul was Director of Software Engineering. In his role, he led several teams in developing modules and features for Asset Performance Management and Predix.  He has a combined 10 years of experience with Meridium / GE Digital in various roles, increasing engineering responsibility. Paul led the software development teams for many areas of APM, including strategy, health, policy manager, rounds, thickness monitoring, and RBI. Previously, Paul wrote software for a variety of industrial sensor and diagnostic applications.

 

Paul received a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering from Virginia Tech.

Paul Tulou, APM

Brad Plaster

Technical Program Leader

Over Brad’s 20-year career in software, he led Meridium’s Technical Consulting and Process Management efforts to make delivery of APM easier and faster without sacrificing quality or client expectations. Brad’s skills including requirements analysis, data migration and integration, project management, and business process improvement, have been employed on numerous APM implementations worldwide as he defined the best practices for his field.

 

Brad received his Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Government from the University of Virginia.
